Zoe Spencer Signs with Albany State University

Zoe Spencer Signs with Albany State University

On April 1, 2022, TCSA's Zoe Spencer signed to play with Albany State University, NCAA Division II, located in Albany, GA. The women's soccer program at ASU are members of the Peach Belt Conference. Zoe's decision to play at ASU was due to her feeling comfortable with the other players and coaches. Zoe said, that when she was on campus she knew this was the place for her. Zoe is the daughter of Ken and Denise Spencer and her sister Delilah aka "Beans" accompanied her for her signing ceremony.

Zoe played for TCSA for three years. Her favorite all-time soccer memory to date was winning the GHSA Region 2AA championship, where she sealed the match by scoring the match ending goal. Zoe's favorite TCSA memory was from the 2021 President's Cup, where in the final match we lost, but still qualified for Region III President's Cup play.

Zoe said, her biggest influences were her parents and Fletcher Corbin, TCSA Coach. Her parents always pushed her to be the best that she could and instilled in her a desire to never settle for good enough. Zoe said, that Coach Corbin pushed her to be the best she could and she would not be where she was today without the environment that TCSA created for her to increase her abilities in the sport. Coach Corbin said of Zoe, "that she needs challenges to meet", "Zoe is the type of player who sees a challenge sets a goal and then achieves." Zoe's parents instilling in her never to settle and strive for the absolute best she can be is her driving force.
